We hope you’ll start your day with us here at Landof10.com as we work to prepare you for everything you need to know — Monday through Friday — around the world of Nebraska sports. Whether it’s football, basketball, wrestling, baseball or just a wild story we hope you’ll find interesting, we’re here to share it with you.
It is Wednesday, Aug. 16, and it’s time for Big Red Rising.
A decision to make
Nebraska cornerback Chris Jones has a decision to make. To redshirt or not to redshirt? NFL draft scout Matt Miller and cornerbacks coach Donte Williams both weighed in on the decision.
Big Ten Network stops at Nebraska
As for some of the news of the day, defensive coordinator Bob Diaco shared with the BTN crew that his new 3-4 defense won’t completely abandon a 4-3 and spoke about how ‘everything is positive’ for the Blackshirts.
BTN.com’s Tom Dienhart also shared his ‘fun takes’ from practice.
Former Nebraska wide receiver Jordan Westerkamp has been waived from the Miami Dolphins. While Westerkamp deals with another setback, he is optimistic and believes his story will be a great one ‘when it’s said and done.’
How does Nebraska’s 354-game sellout streak compare to other programs? You can get a look here, but the short answer is that no one is even close.
A tie at third
Sports on Earth recently previewed the Big Ten. How did the Huskers end up? Let’s just say Nebraska may or may not be tied for third place in the West.
