Looking for a strong finish

Nebraska defensive coordinator Bob Diaco is looking for a strong finish against his alma mater. He knows it won’t be easy, though, saying “the people of Nebraska will recognize this Iowa team.”

A lifelong dream

Norfolk, Neb., native Ryan Schommer accepted a preferred walk-on position with the Huskers on Monday evening. He shared a little more about his “dream that became a reality” with Land of 10’s Chis Bumbaca, including his meeting with defensive line coach John Parrella.

Iowa injury update

On the Iowa injury front, Hawkeyes safety Amani Hooker is likely to miss the Nebraska game.

Money on the line

If Iowa coach Kirk Ferentz needed any more motivation to beat Nebraska, there is some key money on the line. In fact, it’s a pretty significant raise and bonuses for Ferentz and his assistants.

Feel the angst

Neither fans of Nebraska nor Iowa are feeling particularly good right now. There’s a few things still to know about the matchup, but folks on both side seem to be fretting.

An offer and a championship

Not only did Garrett Snodgrass and the York Dukes just win a Nebraska state championship, but the tight end also picked up a Nebraska offer. Talk about a big day all-around.

Off to Orlando

Nebraska basketball is off to Orlando for the AdvoCare Invitational. The Huskers will face UCF at 6 p.m. ET on Thanksgiving Day.
