Nebraska wants to increase its home field advantage at Memorial Stadium.
To do that, athletic director Bill Moos had some pointed words toward Cornhuskers students, or at least they seemed that way.
When asked about building a Husker fan base for the next generation, he said improved student attendance at games could help.
“Put the phone in your pocket and be engaged,” he said.
Moos asked about building the next generation of Husker fans. He challenges current Nebraska students, saying their presence at games could swing a win or two per season.
Said Moos: "Put the phone in your pocket and be engaged."

This is not the first time Moos has made a colorful comment and it’s also not the first time he’s worked to up the gameday experience and general enjoyment of Husker football.
He’s been working to get the Black Friday game with Iowa back, told reporters Michigan and Jim Harbaugh are “running a little bit scared” at the thought of playing the Huskers and called hiring coach Scott Frost getting “the pick of the litter.”
