Tim Miles does not care about what Bracketologists are saying. He’s perfectly fine declaring Nebraska basketball’s NCAA Tournament fate five days before Selection Sunday.
“Here’s what I know: We’re in. That’s what I know,” Miles told the Big Ten Network on Tuesday. “I don’t care what your bracketologist guy says, he’s full of it. I honestly think we’re in. I just look at so many things. The first thing I look at is a 13-win Big Ten team, there’s been 61 of them. All 61 have been in.”

As Miles noted, the Huskers ended the Big Ten regular season with 13 conference wins, but just one (a 72-52 win over Michigan) came against one of the other top five teams in the Big Ten. The Huskers also lost, 77-58, to the Wolverines in their only game of last week’s Big Ten Tournament.
Nebraska is 22-10, but the team is on the wrong side of the bubble in most expert predictions as of Tuesday. The Huskers were among the “next four out” in Joe Lunardi’s projection on ESPN. CBS Sports’ Jerry Palm said Nebraska has “no shot” of making it in the field of 68.
