Nebraska is not heading to the NCAA Tournament. With their 22 wins and fourth-place finish in the Big Ten, the Huskers have to settle for the NIT. They were left out of the field of 68 when the NCAA Tournament selection committee announced its picks Sunday evening.
A lot of Nebraska fans were upset by the news, including one of the best Huskers basketball players of the Tim Miles era. Former Nebraska star Terran Petteway ripped the NCAA Tournament selection committee for excluding his former team.
I think my vision going bad!! 22 wins tied for 4th in big ten and no bid??????? Somebody call the feds my school has been robbed!” Petteway wrote on Twitter.

Petteway played two seasons with Nebraska (2013-14 and 2014-15) and averaged more than 18 points per game in each season. Petteway was on Nebraska’s last NCAA Tournament team in 2014, and he’s currently playing professionally in Greece.
Nebraska will learn its NIT fate later Sunday night.
