Get ready for a lucrative new deal with Nebraska and adidas.
On August 11, the Nebraska Board of Regents will be asked to approve an 11-year deal with adidas worth $128,659,000. According to the board agenda, $64 million will be in cash and $64,659,000 is in athletic apparel and equipment products.
If the deal is approved, it would be effective retroactive back to July 1. It would go through 2028. The new deal would also replace the last year of the current contract between Nebraska and adidas.
A new deal announcement would follow news late last month of a new alternate uniform. On July 27, adidas and Nebraska worked together to create a new uniform for the Oct. 7 game against Wisconsin. The new alternates honor the 1997 national championship team.
