Max Duggan is priority quarterback recruit for Nebraska football, and the Huskers could find out his college decision soon.
“I’m getting very close — I can feel it in my gut and my heart,” Duggan told the Omaha World-Herald’s Sam McKewon. “I’ve talked to my parents. There’s no point in taking any longer than I have to.”
Duggan lives in Council Bluffs, Iowa, right over the Nebraska-Iowa border. He’s a 4-star recruit on the 247Sports composite recruiting database, which ranks him as the No. 15 quarterback in the Class of 2019. Duggan visited TCU, Ohio State, Notre Dame and Minnesota in March, he told McKewon.
“Duggan said he could announce his decision any time — even this week,” McKewon writes. Duggan also said he stopped talking to coaches on Monday, so the next contact he’ll have will be when he informs them of his decision.
Duggan told Land of 10’s Chris Bumbaca last month that he was unsure if he’d visit Nebraska again before announcing his decision.
“They’re really working hard,” Duggan said. “They’re going to build something special at Nebraska. They’re doing the right things. They’re bringing in the right people so I’ve really enjoyed building my relationship with them.”
247Sports Crystal Ball predictions have TCU as the leader for his services, but Duggan tells McKewon he hasn’t made a final decision.
