Kieron Williams’ wait is done. He’s now a proud owner of a Blackshirt.
Williams tweeted out the accomplishment Tuesday.

Nebraska handed out 13 Blackshirts a few weeks ago, but Williams, though a starter, wasn’t one of the players to get one. Defensive coordinator Mark Banker said Williams was close but he and others needed to “to prove it to themselves and to the group they’ve truly earned it.”
It looks like Williams has earned it. The junior safety has definitely been a factor on the field through two games, leading the team with 15 total tackles while making two interceptions.

Now Williams will have his biggest test of the young season: No. 22 Oregon visits Saturday for a 3:30 p.m. game on ABC.
Congrats @TheK_Williams. ✊
