Nebraska punter Sam Foltz and former Michigan State punter Mike Sadler both lost their lives in a July car accident. LSU kicker Colby Delahoussaye survived the accident and is now honoring his friends.
Delahoussaye shared a Twitter picture of his shoes, which feature the players’ numbers 27 and 3 and the word “SAMIKE,” a combination of their first names, printed on the bottom.
“This is for my two boys, I got you guys always with me!” Delahoussaye said in the tweet. “This season is for y’all. Love and miss you two.”

Delahoussaye isn’t the first and won’t be the last person to honor the memory of Foltz and Sadler. Northwestern announced it will wear a helmet sticker for Foltz when the Wildcats play at home against Nebraska on Saturday. Illinois’ specialists have created a shirt that features the numbers of Foltz and Sadler.
