Nebraska suspends WR coach Keith Williams after DUI arrest
Nebraska has suspended WR coach Keith Williams without pay through Aug. 31, and he won’t coach the Huskers’ first four games of the season, coach Mike Riley announced Friday.
Williams was arrested last Sunday on suspicion of DUI. It was his third DUI-related arrest since 2004. He pled not guilty to one count of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and pled not guilty to one count of careless driving.
Riley released a statement calling Williams “an outstanding coach, mentor and leader.”

Williams also released a statement and apologized for his actions. In addition to the suspension, Williams will receive counseling and assist the university in preventing drunk driving.
