The classy gestures by Nebraska’s opponents continue to roll in.
Before the Huskers Saturday game, Illinois special teams players presented them with an Illini No. 27 Sam Foltz jersey, signed by every player on the team. Foltz died in a car accident in July.
Watch Illinois long snapper Michael Martin give the jersey to Nebraska.
“Sam wasn’t an Illini,” Martin said. “But we love him anyway.”
Appreciate this @IlliniFootball.

The gestures started in Week 1, when Fresno State declined a delay of game penalty after Nebraska sent out 10 players for its first punt of the season. Oregon put flowers down on the 27-yard line, and Northwestern wore Foltz helmet stickers.
All Big Ten teams are using coins to honor Foltz and former Michigan State punter Mike Sadler, who also died in the crash.
