Nebraska isn’t playing a home game on Oct. 13, but Huskers fans will still have reason to fire up the grill and crack open a beverage in a Memorial Stadium parking lot.
Country music star Brad Paisley will play a free on-campus show in Lincoln on Thursday, Oct. 13, Nebraska announced Monday. Paisley will be performing in Parking Lot 8 outside of Memorial Stadium.
It’s one of nine stops on Paisley’s Country Nation College Tour, and gates will open at 6 p.m.
“We are thrilled to be one of nine stops for this year’s Brad Paisley Country Nation College Tour,” Nebraska Athletic Directory Shawn Eichorst said in a press release. “The energy and enthusiasm surrounding our campus and Lincoln is at an all-time high. Brad Paisley will bring that same energy and enthusiasm to our amazing community and his performance will connect, entertain and inspire our students. We are looking forward to a great night right outside Memorial Stadium.”
Paisley, 43, has won three Grammy awards and his 2014 album “Moonshine in the Trunk” went to No. 1 on the Billboard country charts.
The Huskers do not play at home that weekend and will be at Indiana on Oct. 15.
