Gill ruptured the patella tendon in his right knee on Christmas day last season and was sidelined the rest of the 2016-17 campaign. He averaged 3.8 points and 1.9 rebounds during his first 12 games as a Husker.
Gill, now a senior, transferred to Nebraska from Louisville following the 2014-15 season.
Nebraska went 12-19 last season with a 6-12 mark in Big Ten play. The Huskers open the 2017-18 season on Nov. 11 against Eastern Illinois.
