Joseph Lewis really, really enjoyed his Nebraska visit during the Illinois weekend.
Lewis shared his thoughts on his visit in a blog he’s writing for USA Today. In the blog, which was published Wednesday, Lewis rated the visit a 9.5 out of 10.
Recruits will always be very positive about their visits when talking publicly, but the rating stands out for one reason: Lewis rated his earlier Oregon visit only an 8 out of 10.
Here’s Lewis on his time at Nebraska:
I got there on a Friday and met with the coaches then we got something to eat and hung out with everybody. I’d been there multiple times so I didn’t take the tour. After that we went to the walkthrough practices and then hung out with the players. Saturday was gameday so that was cool! I think all of the festivities around the game would have to be my favorite part of the visit. Their fans are live!
Lewis said hanging out with the players was the best part of the trip. He said his plan is to commit during the Army All-American Bowl game but that he could delay until Signing Day.
Lewis, from Los Angeles, is the No. 2 receiver for the 2017 class. He’s also No. 13 overall for 247 Sports’ composite rankings.
