T.J. Pledger, one of the nation’s top running backs in 2018, has only one Big Ten team on his new recruiting list. It’s Nebraska.
The all-purpose back, a 4-star prospect ranked the nation’s No. 2 player at his position by 247Sports, shared his new top 8 on Wednesday, and the Huskers made the cut — along with Clemson, Georgia, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Oregon, Tennessee and UCLA.

247Sports also has the Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy star ranked the No. 6 player in Florida and No. 31 player in the nation for the 2018 recruiting class.
The 5-foot-8, 200-pound Pledger also has offers from fellow Big Ten schools Michigan, Ohio State and Penn State. But only the Huskers made it through the running back’s new top-8 list.
Pledger transferred to IMG Academy after playing for Chaminade out in California. While with Chaminade, Pledger rushed for 1,881 yards and 32 touchdowns, according to MaxPreps.com. Pledger averaged 8.1 yards per attempt.
