Class of 2019 running back Treyson Potts is headed to Minneapolis, as the 3-star prospect announced his commitment to Minnesota football on Wednesday.
Potts is an all-purpose back from Williamsport Area High School in Williamsport, Penn. He announced his commitment to the Gophers via Twitter.

“I would like to start by thanking my family for making endless [sacrifices] and giving me plenty of support to pursue my dreams,” he wrote on Twitter. “I’d like to thank my coaches and trainer that have helped me develop into the person and athlete I am today. Finally, thank you to my teammates and friends that have supported me and stayed by my side. With that being said, I have a phenomenal opportunity to be [a part] of something great by continuing my academic and athletic career at The University of Minnesota.”
In addition to Minnesota, Potts received offers UConn, Syracuse, Maryland and Virginia, among others.
Potts is the No. 13-ranked all-purpose back in the Class of 2019 and the No. 26-ranked prospect from Pennsylvania, according to 247Sports composite rankings.
With Potts’ commitment, Minnesota’s Class of 2019 ranks No. 20 in the nation and No. 4 in the Big Ten.
