Minnesota football held its pro day on Wednesday for its players who are looking to go pro, giving them one more chance to prove themselves to NFL teams before the 2018 NFL Draft.
While there are several drills that each player will go through during pro day, one of the most popular parts of the workout is the bench press. Minnesota defensive tackle Steven Richardson passed the bench-pressing test with flying colors, doing 31 reps as his teammates watched and cheered him on.
In four years with the Golden Gophers, Richardson played in 43 games, recording 103 tackles, 29 tackles for loss and 12.5 sacks. In addition, he made 4 fumble recoveries and forced 5 fumbles.
The 2018 NFL Draft will begin on Thursday, April 26.
