In case any Gophers or Broncos fans were wondering, Minnesota reportedly will “Row the Boat” in the 2017 season.
Tony Paul, a writer for the Detroit News, tweeted Friday that P.J. Fleck will be bringing his signature mantra to Minnesota next season, officially taking it from Western Michigan.

Fleck comes to Minnesota after a 13-1 season with the Broncos, guiding Western Michigan to its first AP Poll ranking in school history. The Broncos’ only loss last season came to Wisconsin in the Cotton Bowl.
“Row the Boat” became Fleck’s rallying cry while at Western Michigan and picked up steam as the Broncos shot to a 12-0 record in the regular season. That same record is what landed him at Minnesota, where he signed a five-year contract in January.
P.J. Fleck said on radio this week he expected it to wrap up soon. The Midwest is on edge. https://t.co/zGDgdu6zmV

Now, this raises the question: What will happen with Minnesota’s original mantra, “Ski-U-Mah?”
