The Minnesota Golden Gophers’ men’s basketball team is a good one this year.
In the most recent AP Poll, the Golden Gophers are No. 12 in the country and are 7-0 overall going into its game Wednesday night against No. 10-ranked Miami. The top 12 clash for the Big Ten/ACC Challenge is taking place in Minnesota and is being televised on ESPN2.
In what was the final basket in a tight first half — which ended in a 36-36 score going into the second half — Golden Gophers sophomore guard Amir Coffey made what will absolutely appear on any highlight show you’ll see overnight.
The long, 6-foot-8 wing has a bright future, and apparently, he doesn’t even have to be standing up to score.
