Minnesota’s Brandon Lingen is out 4-5 weeks, Gophers coach Tracy Claeys announced Sunday.
Claeys said the injury isn’t connected to a previous shoulder injury.

Lingen had one catch for 17 yards in Minnesota’s 52-28 win against Indiana State. He didn’t play in the season-opening win vs. Oregon State.
Minnesota (2-0) is off this upcoming week. The Gophers next play Colorado State on Sept. 24.
