Georgia cornerback Trey Creamer revealed his top eight schools on Wednesday and several Big Ten programs made the cut.
Purdue, Maryland and Minnesota each made the 3-star cornerback’s list, which he announced on Twitter Wednesday morning. Creamer’s list also featured Georgia Southern, Tulane, West Virginia, Kansas State and Colorado State.
The Cartersville, Ga., native is rated as the No. 150 cornerback nationally in the Class of 2017 and the No. 147 prospect in the state of Georgia. He’s received 20 scholarship offers, including offers from Cincinnati, Louisville and Wake Forest.
Interestingly, Minnesota is the only Big Ten school in Creamer’s top eight to have offered him a scholarship, according to 247Sports.com. That could be because the Golden Gophers might be scouring the country for help in the secondary. Minnesota does not have a commitment from a defensive back in its 2017 class after signing three cornerbacks to its 2016 class.
