Poock, who has 24 tackles, 1 sack and 3.5 tackles for loss in seven games this season, re-injured the shoulder during last week’s win over Purdue and will have surgery. He originally injured the shoulder against Penn State on Oct. 1 and miss the next two games against Iowa and Maryland.
Senior Nick Rallis is listed as the starter for this Saturday’s game against Nebraska, but he will miss the first half of the game after he was called for targeting and ejected against Purdue.
Last season Poock, a 6-foot-2, 230-pound native of Okoboji, Iowa, was second on the team with 99 tackles.
