Spann-Ford is a 3-star recruit and the No. 6 player in the state of Minnesota, according to 247Sports’ composite rating. At 6-foot-6-inches and 233 pounds, he can play either wide receiver or tight end. He had offers from Iowa State, West Virginia, Missouri and more but committed to Minnesota after attending a camp there Friday.
Minnesota has one of the biggest 2018 recruiting classes in the country and also one of the best. The class ranked sixth in the Big Ten and 18th nationally even before Spann-Ford’s commitment, per 247.
Here are some highlights from Spann-Ford’s junior season at Technical Senior High School in St. Cloud, Minn.
