Another week, another Minnesota player has been ejected for targeting.
This time it was safety Duke McGhee, who made helmet to helmet contact with Illinois wide receiver Malik Turner during the second quarter. Turner, the Illini’s top receiver, made a catch and was hit hard by McGhee, who led with his helmet.

Targeting calls and ejections have been an issue all season for the Gophers, who had three players thrown out of their season opener.
Turner, meanwhile, had to be carted off the field. There was no immediate update on his status.
