2019 4-star Illinois defensive end Jason Bargy made his verbal pledge to the Golden Gophers via his personal Twitter account on Wednesday night.

Overall, Bargy is the No. 2 prospect out of Illinois and the No. 13 weak-side defensive end in the nation, according to 247Sports composite rankings. 247 has Bargy as its No. 99 player overall.
Bargy is a 6-foot-4, 225-pound monster from Momence, Ill.
He also had offers from Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Iowa State and other teams including Big Ten squads.
Bargy is the ninth addition to the class, the second weak-side defensive end and the fourth defensive line recruit.
