Vereen made 39 tackles with one interception during the 2014 season, his rookie year. After getting released by the Bears, Vereen signed with the Minnesota Vikings. He was then waived by the Vikings and signed with the Patriots.
While with the Gophers, Vereen earned First Team All-Big Ten honors his senior season.
Vereen is the younger brother of Shane Vereen. The older Vereen is with the New York Giants, where he rushed for 260 yards in 2015.
