One 2017 defensive tackle who visited Minnesota this weekend has verbally committed to the Gophers.
Austin Schirck, a 2017 DT from Iowa, flipped his commitment from Northern Iowa to Minnesota on Sunday afternoon.

Schirck, a Carroll, Iowa, native who is not rated on the 247Sports star system, originally committed to Northern Iowa in August. He is the second DT in the Gophers’ class, joining 3-star Tyrone Chambers.
Schirck was the second Minnesota commit of Sunday, joining CB Ihmir Smith-Marsette. Schirck is the 25th commit in P.J. Fleck’s 2017 class, which is now rated 53rd in the country and 12th in the Big Ten.
