Wilton Speight has been arguably Michigan’s best offensive player in its past three games.
The redshirt sophomore QB broke a Michigan record on Saturday afternoon. Speight’s 292 passing yards in the first half is a new Michigan first half record. Previously, the record was held by QB Denard Robinson, who had 262 passing yards in the first half against Illinois in 2010.
Speight is 15-of-19 for 317 yards, along with three total touchdowns with eight minutes left in the third quarter.
Michigan is up 38-0 on Maryland.
