Michigan golfer Nick Carlson hit one of the best shots of his career Tuesday, and it landed him on a program he grew up watching.
Carlson, a sophomore on the Wolverine men’s golf team, holed a 75-foot chip during his round in match play at the U.S. Amateur. The sensational shot boosted his round and was good for No. 9 on Sportscenter’s Top 10 plays.

The U.S. Amateur is being played in Carlson’s home state this year in Bloomfield Hills, Mich. Carlson won his match against Zach Foushee on Tuesday and will tee off against Scott Gregory in the round of 32 on Thursday.
