MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. — Michigan rallied from a 14-point halftime deficit. The Wolverines took a 3-point lead inside the final 2 minutes. They began the game without one of the nation’s most versatile and dynamic players, then they lost their NFL-caliber tight end to a knee injury during the game.
They battled so hard and overcame so much. Yet in the end, the Wolverines couldn’t stop Florida State.
With a 33-32 win in the Orange Bowl, the No. 11 Seminoles (10-3) kept the No. 6 Wolverines (10-3) from earning a signature win in a New Year’s Six bowl game Friday at Hard Rock Stadium.
