A potential future Michigan signal-caller will be competing against the other top recruits in the country this summer.
Tyler Shough, a Michigan quarterback target in the 2018 recruiting class, was selected to this year’s Elite 11 — a group of the top quarterbacks in the 2018 class. Dorian Thompson-Robinson, who picked UCLA over Michigan, and Justin Fields, a Penn State commit, also were among the selections.

The Elite 11 quarterbacks will compete alongside other top recruits at The Opening, Nike’s premier recruiting camp, in Beaverton, Ore., from June 28-July 3.
Shough, a 3-star recruit, is ranked as the 15th-best pro style quarterback in the class in the 247Sports composite rankings. However, he impressed at the Elite 11 finals to earn an invite to The Opening.
The 6-foot-5, Chandler, Ariz., quarterback has offers from South Carolina, Alabama, Indiana and Arizona State, but Michigan is the favorite to land Shough.
