IOWA CITY, Iowa — Keith Duncan kicked a field goal as time expired to help Iowa to a 14-13 win against No. 3 Michigan, and to help Iowa hand Michigan its first loss.
Here’s what Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh had to say following the road loss Saturday at Kinnick Stadium:
What was happening with the offense?
“We didn’t make enough plays to extend drives, and convert first downs.
“Close, but we just … give Iowa credit. The tackled, they blocked, they played a very good football game. … We’ve got to move on.”
Any problem with the face mask on McCray?
“I didn’t see it, either.”
Did you get an explanation?
What did you tell your team after the game?
“Every big thing or every little thing isn’t always going to go your way. To make it, to win, we’ve got to make it that way. And we didn’t do enough things to make it that way.”
Are this team’s goals still in place?
Did Wilton’s shoulder affect him late in the game?
“It might have. I thought he threw a good ball to Amara, the last one, and a good on to Jehu, that got intercepted. It got taken away.”
How do you think they’ll respond from this?
“We’re all going to to our jobs. That’s part of my job. I’m not the only one, but a big part of my job is to make sure we respond.”
Did you think the call against Devin Bush was targeting?
“I did not, no.”
The running game, did you think you’d have more success?
“We would have liked to have more production there.
“We just didn’t get it done tonight. Didn’t do enough to make it go our way.”
