The play instantly drew comparisons to another iconic play in Michigan lore: Charles Woodson’s one-handed pick against Michigan State in 1997.

Woodson’s had the added degree of difficulty of the sideline coming into play, while Lewis had to compensate for a mistimed jump while looking over his right shoulder.
Both are fantastic plays that had huge implications. Of course, Woodson ended up winning the Heisman Trophy and led the Wolverines to a national championship. Time will tell how big Lewis’ pick ends up being.
