Shea Patterson is officially a Wolverine.
The program made the addition of the former Ole Miss quarterback official more than a week after Patterson announced he was transferring to Michigan.

Patterson initially announced his plans to join Jim Harbaugh’s team on Dec. 11, saying “it was time to go to work.” Neither Patterson nor Harbaugh was quoted in Michigan’s official release, but Patterson did elaborate on his decision in an interview with the Toledo Blade last week.
It remains unclear if Patterson will be eligible for Michigan or not in the 2018 season, but the Wolverines are adding a talented quarterback to their program. Patterson threw for 3,139 yards, 23 touchdowns and 12 interceptions in 10 games with Ole Miss — all of which were starts.
If Patterson is eligible in 2018, it will make for an interesting quarterback contest in Ann Arbor. Patterson — the No. 1 quarterback recruit in the 2016 class — would be competing for snaps with Brandon Peters and Dylan McCaffery
