It’s safe to say Ruth’s Chris is thoroughly enjoying this football season.
According to The Detroit News, the Ann Arbor steakhouse has just sold out their second consecutive week, Sunday through Thursday, in advance to Michigan’s game against Michigan State.
The past few weeks, the Ann Arbor steakhouse has found themselves sold out days in a row after announcing their “Score Big” promotion, which gives customers a discount on their steak depending on Michigan’s margin of victory.
The promotion started with Michigan’s game against Rutgers, but when Wolverines destroyed the Scarlet Knights 78-0 Ruth’s Chris found themselves flowing with reservations. The restaurant had to eventually cap the discount 50 percent due to the overwhelming rush of customers.
Last week, the Wolverines were 28-points favorites over Illinois and Michigan fans booked the steakhouse full until the next Friday in anticipation of a big Michigan win. The fans were rewarded with a 41-8 winner over the Illini, which resulted in a 33 percent discount off their steaks.
This week, with the Wolverines taking on the lowly Spartans, Michigan is a 24 points favorite and fans aren’t taking their chances in missing out on a discounted rivalry week victory steak.
