After a runway accident Wednesday afternoon derailed the Michigan basketball team’s flight to Washington D.C., the Wolverines will reportedly travel Thursday morning, hours before their scheduled game.
Michigan is slated to take on Illinois at noon ET at the Verizon Center.
The news of Michigan’s updated travel plans first came from ESPN analyst Dan Dakich, whose son Andrew is on the Wolverines team.
Per Dakich on ESPN after talking to Tom Wywrot: Michigan is tentatively planning to leave *tomorrow* morning.

Brandan F. Quinn of MLive Media Group reports that Michigan is still working on travel plans.

Michigan’s initial itinerary was disrupted Wednesday when the team plane skidded off the runway at Willow Run Airport in Ypsilanti, Mich. No one was injured, though the plane suffered “heavy damage.”
