Michigan is unlikely to make the College Football Playoff, which might be a relief to presumptive No. 1 seed Alabama.
According to a Vegas sportsbook, the Wolverines would be nine-point underdogs against the Crimson Tide, which would be the closest line of any Playoff contender. Ohio State would be 14-point underdogs against Alabama and Penn State would be 18-point underdogs, worst of the contenders.

As the No. 1 team, Alabama will play whomever the the committee ranks fourth. That will most likely be Washington but could also be Ohio State or even Penn State.
Michigan is likely out of the playoff picture after losing to Ohio State in double overtime last week.
