Pep Hamilton was officially welcomed to Michigan’s staff earlier this week as the Wolverines assistant head coach/passing game coordinator.
Hamilton brings years of coaching experience and some NFL knowledge to the Michigan sideline. While Hamilton has a relationship with Jim Harbaugh having served as an assistant coach for him at Stanford, he’s still unfamiliar to most Michigan fans.
The program gave fans their first chance to get to know Hamilton in a short video Q&A posted Friday. He discussed reuniting with Harbaugh and his desired offensive approach.
“It’s exciting for me to be reunited with coach Harbaugh and ultimately have a chance to win a national championship,” Hamilton said.
He added: “We’re going to play tough, smart, Michigan football. That’s one of the things I’ve learned from coach Harbaugh over the years, if you can control the line of scrimmage, it will open opportunities for you to hit big plays both in the run and the passing game.”
