The matchup for the 2016 Orange Bowl was announced Sunday, and it certainly didn’t take long for tickets to disappear.
Tickets to the highly-touted game between the Michigan Wolverines and Florida State Seminoles sold out to the general public on Tuesday, per the Michigan football Twitter account.

According to the Detroit Free Press, there was a 15,000-ticket distribution for Michigan, which sold out Tuesday. Tickets to the Orange Bowl went on sale on Oct. 1, however the Wolverines-Seminoles match up was officially announced Sunday.
The Orange Bowl, which will take place Dec. 30 at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, will feature two of college football’s premier head coaches in Florida State’s Jimbo Fisher and Michigan’s Jim Harbaugh. Florida State brings a four-game winning streak into the matchup, while Michigan brings the second-ranked defense in the nation into the contest.
The last time these two teams faced off was in 1991, when the Seminoles beat down the Wolverines, 51-31, in Ann Arbor, Mich.
Michigan, which is 1-1 all-time in the Orange Bowl, finished the season as the No. 6 team in the nation, while Florida State came in at No. 11.
