A basketball player on a football jersey? When it’s Michael Jordan paired with Michigan, it somehow works.
Tuesday, Michigan athletics officially released its new Nike jerseys that will be housed under the iconic Jordan Brand. Images of the uniforms surfaced last week.

Michigan’s official retail merchandiser, The M Den, had a launch party on Sunday night when the school officially joined the Nike family. The average shopper spent $300.
Michigan’s deal with Nike will be worth at least $173 million over the next 15 years. The football and men’s and women’s basketball teams will feature the Jordan Brand, while the rest of the school’s teams will stay under the traditional Nike Swoosh.
Tuesday’s release itself was quite extravagant.
