The results are in from NFL.com, and according to writer Daniel Jeremiah, Michigan all-purpose player Jabrill Peppers has an NFL comparison that should make Wolverine fans happy.
In a breakdown of NFL prospects, Jeremiah quoted an anonymous NFL executive who compared Peppers to Arizona Cardinals safety Tyrann Mathieu.
The executive, who works for a team in the NFC, said, “Jabrill Peppers is a bigger, more explosive version of Tyrann Mathieu.”
Mathieu earned All-Pro honors as a cornerback in 2013 and at safety in 2015; he also made the Pro Bowl in 2015.
Peppers, who has been mentioned as a Heisman Trophy contender, has 2.5 sacks and 227 punt return yards in four games. The Wolverines have also used him on offense occasionally.
Not a bad comparison, all things considered.
