Michigan basketball is being looked at as a serious threat to win the NCAA Tournament — and not just by their foes in the West Region.
The Wolverines were listed with 10-1 odds to win the 2018 national title by the Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook shortly after the NCAA Tournament bracket was announced Sunday evening. Michigan’s odds are the fifth best of any team in the field, behind only Villanova (7-2), Duke (5-1), Virginia (6-1) and Michigan State (10-1).
Jeff Sherman from the Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook tweeted out a full list of odds Sunday night.

Michigan even has better odds than Xavier, a No. 1 seed, to win it all. The Musketeers are the No. 1 team in the West Region.
Michigan, a No. 3 seed, opens its NCAA Tournament on Thursday against 14th-seeded Montana in Wichita. If the Wolverines win, they’ll advance to face either Houston or San Diego State in the second round. Here’s a look at the full bracket.
Michigan enters the Big Dance as one of the hottest teams in the country. John Beilein’s club has won nine straight games heading into the NCAA Tournament and rattled off four wins in four days at Madison Square Garden to capture the 2018 Big Ten Tournament title.
