Najee Harris, the nation’s No. 1 overall recruit in the Class of 2017, still hasn’t given an answer on whether or not he’ll stick with his commitment to Alabama or flip to Michigan.
Harris, a 5-star running back from Antioch (Calif.) High School, told Land of 10’s Jeremy Birmingham, who is in San Antonio for the U.S. Army All-American Bowl, that he will fly home to Oakland, Calif., and make a decision once he regathers his thoughts.
“I still don’t know where I’m going,” Harris said. “I’m going home and I’ll decide.”
There have been a varying number of reports over the past several days of what Harris will actually do. Alabama quarterback commit Tua Tagvoailoa told SEC Country that he expected Harris to be his roommate in Tuscaloosa and that the running back was going to be on the same flight as him to Birmingham, Ala.
A source close to Harris gave a conflicting answer by saying Tagovailoa wasn’t supposed to leak that info out just yet and then said the quarterback doesn’t know anything.
Either way, it looks like the Harris recruitment drama will extend for at least another day where there will likely be another twist to this exhausting story.
