By now, most people know Jabrill Peppers was named as a finalist for the Bronko Nagurski Defensive Player of the Year Trophy on Thursday.
But did you know the Michigan linebacker actually plays for Michigan State?
At least, according to the Nagurski website and Steve Lorenz of 247 Sports, as of about 10:45 a.m., he was a Spartan.

Peppers is obviously a Wolverine and is pictured in his Wolverine uniform and Michigan tie, but the website had the Spartan logo and had him listed as from Michigan State.
About five minutes later, the website had pulled down Peppers as a finalist all together.
And five minutes after that, Peppers was back as a Michigan man.
Thus ends the curious case of Jabrill Peppers the Michigan State Spartan.
Peppers was also listed as a finalist for the Paul Hornung Award for college football’s most versatile player on Thursday, but was listed as a Wolverine there.
