Minor, unseeded but ranked No. 24 in the nation, upset the sixth-seeded Woolcock 6-3, 6-3 for the women’s singles championship in program history. The sophomore from Mundelein, Ill., finished the 2016-17 season with a 32-6 overall record in singles play, highlighted by an upset of Vanderbilt’s No. 4 Astra Sharma on Feb. 11.
Minor knocked off three top-16 players in her six tournament wins en route to the title. She also earned All-America honors for her performance this season.
