One former Michigan wide receiver is looking for a new home as a graduate transfer.
Freddy Canteen played for Michigan in 2014 and 2015 but was not on the team’s roster in 2016. He announced Tuesday that he will graduate from Michigan in the spring and is seeking to play elsewhere as a graduate transfer.
“I want to thank the University of Michigan, Coach (Brady) Hoke and Coach (Jim) Harbaugh for providing me the opportunity to compete at the highest level of football while obtaining a world class education,” he wrote in a Twitter post.

Canteen, a Wilmington, Del. native, saw action in seven career games — six of which came during the 2014 season — and he made seven receptions for 22 yards and one touchdown. A 4-star recruit in the 2014 class, Canteen originally committed to the Wolverines under Hoke in June 2013.
