As its biggest rival lost in State College, Pa., Michigan moved to No. 2 in the polls this week.
The only team the Wolverines trail is defending national champion Alabama. And according to Las Vegas, that’s the only team that would be favored against Michigan in potential national title game matchups.

Alabama is favored against every other potential opponent, including being a 9.5-point favorite against coach Jim Harbaugh’s team. But the Wolverines would not be the underdog against any other team.
Michigan is listed as a 2.5-point favorite against Clemson, a 3.5-point favorite against Louisville and a 3.5-point favorite against Washington. The Wolverines are also listed as a 2.5-point favorite on a neutral field against Ohio State.
The Buckeyes host Michigan on Nov. 26 in a game that will still likely have big national championship implications. One-loss Ohio State is also listed as a 10-point underdog against Alabama, a 3.5-point favorite against Louisville and Washington and as a pick ‘em against Clemson.
