Michigan football’s spring practices are almost over, which means it’s time for an update on the Wolverines’ quarterback position.
Wilton Speight, who started 11 games in 2016, is currently on top. But as with any Jim Harbaugh team, the competition is never over. Here’s the latest from the Wolverines coach:

Speight had an efficient season in his first go-round as full-time starter in 2016, finishing with 2,538 yards and a 61.6-percent completion rate, averaging 7.7 yards per attempt while throwing 18 touchdowns to just 7 interceptions. Speight’s chief foe is fifth-year senior John O’Korn, whom he beat out in camp last year.
