Michigan football begins its 2016 campaign this weekend, and the basketball team will likely use that as a recruiting tool.
The Wolverines are set to host the No. 3 overall prospect in the class of 2017, Mohamed Bamba, for an official visit, according to Sam Webb of The Michigan Insider. All three commits in Michigan’s 2017 hoops class will be on campus, too, according to MLive.com’s Brendan Quinn.

Bamba is a 6-foot-11 power forward who plays at the Westtown School in eastern Pennsylvania. He’s originally from New York.
Bamba has offers from everyone — Duke, Kentucky, Villanova, Arizona, Indiana, etc. The 247Sports crystal ball forecasts he’ll pick the Blue Devils.
Michigan has the No. 6 class in the country for 2017 with three 4-star commits — PG Eli Brooks, SG Jordan Poole and and PF Isaiah Livers.
The football team hosts Hawaii on Saturday.
