Ruiz is rated as the class of 2017’s best center and 66th-best overall player, according to 247 Sports. The website’s “Crystal Ball” also says the Wolverines have a 92 percent chance to landing the 6-foot-3, 315-pound, four-star prospect.
Ruiz currently has a total of 34 offers, including ones from Oklahoma, North Carolina, Alabama and Texas A&M. He is set to visit Michigan on Oct. 1, according to 247, for the Wolverines’ game against Wisconsin.
Ruiz is originally from Camden, N.J., but now plays for IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla.
